FCHS Mustangs Play in State Tournament
by Admin User - Wednesday, 6 March 2013, 02:22 PM

FCHS Mustangs Play in State Tournament

The Forrest City Mustangs played in the State Tournament in Pine Bluff, AR on February 28 and March 1. The Mustangs won their first round game against Magnolia on February 28 with a score of 52-36. They played again in the second round Semi-Final game on Friday, March 1 against defending state champions Clarkesville. The Mustangs lost the game with a score of 59-45. We are proud of Coach Dwight Lofton, the Mustang basketball players, and everyone else that had a part in Mustang's successful year.

On Friday, March 1, the Mustangs showed good sportsmanship and class when they joined the line to welcome their rival school Wynne Yellow Jackets as they competed in the semi-finals against Jacksonville. The Wynne Yellow Jackets returned their support as they joined the line to welcome the Forrest City Mustangs as they competed against Clarkesville. Both schools lost their semi-final games, but the sportsmanship and class displayed by both schools can't be rivaled.

Congratulations Mustangs and we are proud of you!
